3 Healthy Podcasts to Keep You Fit


Here in Chicago the light at the end of the tunnel has finally arrived! The sun has been shining, the wind feels warmer, and running season has officially begun. I don’t know about you, but I’m not much of a music listener when I’m running. I either choose to go sans any inner ear entertainment or as of late, listen to healthy podcasts.

Here is list of the best healthy podcasts I’ve come across for health and fitness.

  1. The FitCast This podcast is created and produced by Kevin Larrabee. He’s a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a BS in Health and Science, certified through N.S.C.A and even more impressively works at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning. Kevin has interviews with everyone who is anyone. His guests are the top in the fitness and nutrition arena, all entirely credible, motivating, and entertaining.
  2. The Nutrition Diva’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Eating Well and Feeling Fabulous Monica Reinagel is a licensed nutritionist and trained chef. In her podcasts she takes you through ways to clean up your diet in an approachable manner that will quickly have you trading out a handful of your favorite chips for a cup of cherry tomatoes. This is the perfect podcast to listen to if you’ve mastered getting in your workouts but still need help in the diet arena.
  3. Ben Greenfield Fitness Ben Greenfield is an expert in exercise physiology and biomechanics and is an expert trainer for elite athletes, especially endurance athletes. In Ben’s podcast, he provides health and fitness advice and tips that can be applied to anyone from a fitness novice to an adult athlete. Ben also approaches his topics in a way that everyone can understand.
