Five Fast Fashion Finds

Overalls

By: Lauren Ashley Smith

Two things are true for most of us right now: 1) our bank accounts are still recovering from holiday spending. And 2) our wardrobes are crying out for something new. The solution? Fast fashion, baby!

High end retailers have their place, but the Zaras and H&Ms of the world are the real MVPs when your closet needs new life breathed into it. It is for that very reason that I present to you five fast fashion finds that will get you excited for the (hopefully soon) coming days of Spring.

  1. Zara's Striped Dress with Flared SkirtThis dress is the perfect way to add some excitement to your wardrobe and it's absolutely perfect for transitioning from Winter to Spring. You can wear it with a sweater, tights and boots until the snow melts, and then come April, it's a cute leg-baring mini!
  2. H&M's black biker leggings. These leggings are something you need, period. They go with everything and the little accents near the knee makes it look like you put more effort into your look than a basic pair of black leggings. They are on sale for less than $15! Buy them!
  3. Forever 21's Life in Classic Denim Overalls. Admittedly, overalls aren't for everyone, but for those of you who are six feet tall and modelesque, it's in your best interest to grab these very reasonably priced $29.90 beauties, pair them with a heel, and basically win Spring and Summer.
  4. Topshop's Leather Dual Pouch Cross Body Bag. Please don't judge me, but I'm not really a fan of spending money on handbags that aren't real leather. They don't last and they're basically disposable; save up for a more durable real piece. That said, the only exception is a little white bag like this one. White accessories are easily scuffed and mussed, so this is the one time it's ok to buy a semi disposable piece, wear it for a few months, and then move on.
  5. Wet Seal's Cozy Minimalist Pullover Tunic. Or as like to call it: "fancy sweatshirt." This is a slightly elevated lounge shirt that you wouldn't be completely embarrassed to wear to a social function. It's cute and the price ($24.90) is right, so buy it right away because who knows, Wet Seal could close tomorrow.

Have fun introducing these cute and affordable pieces to your closet!
