OOTD: Red, White and Chic

Fashion for women after 50

By Susan "Honey" Good

I think comfort and style go hand in hand at every age, don't you? I rarely choose items to wear that do not make me feel comfortable physically as well as emotionally (meaning that I am comfortable with my style choices; they represent me and my preferences, not someone else's idea  of "style.")

My outfit above is one of my favorites; it's chic and crisp.

The long  sleeve T-shirt, by Sonia Rykiel, in white and red is comfortable and flattering.

My earrings are by Ippolita, as is much of my jewelry... I tend to be very loyal to brands I love!

I have written previously about these bangles by Hermes that I just adore. If you follow my outfit choices, you will see that I frequently wear these.

Anyone else guilty of wearing their favorite items over and over?  While I do understand that we all have our own personal budgets, this is one of the reasons that I believe it's OK to splurge on something you really love.

Over the years, I've collected clothing, bags, accessories and even shoes that I have worn over and over. Truly classic pieces that always feel right on time in terms of style!

Speaking of shoes, I love this pair of open toe block heel shoes in silver by Prada.  They're the perfect shoe to wear when you don't know what color will complement your outfit the best.

I'd love to see what you're wearing now. Please do snap a quick picture of your favorite look and share it with me --  and the rest of the Honey Good community -- on my Facebook page.
