Week in review: New and meaningful experiences

Darlings, this has been a week of new experiences and recounting when experiences were new. Not all of them pleasant, but all of them meaningful.

To start with the somber, I shared with all of you a podcast I appeared on about widowhood. It was emotional to recount even after all of these years and being remarried. My own experience was so challenging and each person’s is different, but I wanted to share how I made it through to help those of you who are struggling. You can listen to the “Keep it Juicy” here.

I also appeared on another show this week and it’s something I haven’t done before — a video interview! Catherine Grace O’Connell invited me on the “Cat & Kaehler” show and I sat down with Catherine and David Stewart. I talked all about HoneyGood.com and my own feelings on being a fierce woman over 50. If you missed it you can watch it here.

Speaking of being fierce, this week was all about the color red. I love the vibrancy of red and I think as women over 50 we should strive to still be vibrant and visible. If you need a pep talk on wearing red or just some suggestions on how to integrate it into your already existing wardrobe click here.

Akaisha Kaderli shared a trying travel experience and some tips she gleaned from it. Akaisha has an incredible spirit and zest for adventure so you know if she is recounting a bad trip it was BAD. You can read what she learned right here.

I also wrote this week about needing to reconnect with myself. This is something new for me, but as I wrote “I needed to slow down and calm down and figure out how to combat the negatives dismantling my lifestyle.” I am reinvigorated, darlings. Read why this is such an important act by clicking here.

I couldn’t ignore the holidays this week so I put together a gift guide of meaningful and thoughtful ideas. I adore gifting things that mean something to those I love. However, I don’t want you to feel boxed in; these suggestions are designed to help you brainstorm. Read the story here.

Take care of yourself this week, dear readers.
