6 Ingredients for Your Daily Skin Care Routine

6 Ingredients for Your Daily Skin Care Routine

We all know we want to live a long, healthy and beautiful life. In order to do that, we simply must protect our skin, darlings!

A daily skincare routine is a must. If you don’t have one already, I encourage you to get one today. Create good habits for yourself that will pay off big time in the long run!

Everyone’s skin is different, so our skincare routines will all look a little different, but here are some products to get you started. They include six ingredients I make sure not to skimp on…

Retinol

Retinol is used to lighten brown spots and smooth skin. You will see a difference in a few weeks but like most things in life, real results come with consistency.

You can see your dermatologist if you’re interested in a prescription retinol product, or opt for an over the counter option, such as Dermalogica’s Overnight Retinol Repair.

Retinol

Dermalogica’s Overnight Retinol Repair is a powerful treatment cream that accelerates skin renewal and reduces the appearance of skin aging overnight. Vitamin C helps to fight uneven skin tone and discoloration, while pure Retinol increases collagen production and cell turnover. You can purchase yours here.

Vitamin B3

Many of our foods contain this vitamin, but experts believe it may have the best skincare benefits when applied topically.

Which isn’t to say that feeding your skin from the inside out isn’t important as well. It is!

Foods high in B3 include fish, chicken, liver, pork, green peas, mushrooms, avocado and sunflower seeds.

Vitamin B3 Serum

So what is Vitamin B3 Serum exactly? It’s a powerhouse serum that reboots temperamental skin by targeting blemishes, breakouts, pigmentation, and redness. Here is a cost-effective choice to try if you’re just getting started!

Sonic Cleansing System

These products gently exfoliate build ups of dry skin, helping to keep skin fresh and radiant.

As we age, our skin’s natural ability to turn over dead skin cells diminishes, so exfoliating is an imperative part of any successful skin care routine.

Sonic Cleansing Brush

I did some research and the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleaning Brush had a four-star rating. Grab one here for just $27!

White Sunscreen

The Honey Good community has discussed sunscreen a lot this season! As you know, the minimum you should use is SPF 30.

La Roche-Posay SPF 60 with Anthelios XL

I use La Roche-Posay SPF 60 with Anthelios XL. I have read that everyone, children too, should use a white cream based sunblock; consider looking for one that contains Zinc.

Have you incorporated SPF into your daily skincare routine yet? If not, give this one a try!

Moisturizer

There are a lot of wonderful products on the market, so this one is your choice. Personally, I use Crème De La Mer skin care products and Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil at night.

Yes, I believe it is worth every penny!

La Mer Moisturizer

With nutrient-rich Miracle Broth, the heart of La Mer’s profound powers of transformation, skin is immersed in moisture, sensitivities are soothed, and radiance is restored. This moisturizer is more of an investment, but I swear by it! Purchase some here.

It’s Time to Build a Routine of Your Own!

Most of these products are very easy to attain, so find some time, sooner than later, and establish a daily skin care routine for yourself.

Not only will it help keep your skin looking vibrant no matter your age, but you deserve to take care of YOU!

Self care is, in part, about being selfish. Don’t let everyone else’s needs and desires usurp your own. Take the time, every evening, to love the skin you’re in and thank it for taking good care of you by taking care of it right back.
