Happy weekend, Darling. Isn’t it just crazy that we are a few days shy of September 1st? Where did August even go? It flew by in the blink of an eye. I hope you all had a lovely and fruitful month.
This picture of me got me thinking about travel. As my pillow says, “I’d rather be in Paris!” Which is always true. As much as I love my dear Chicago, I do also enjoy Paris and traveling the world. I long for the days where I could drop everything and get on a plane with my Ultimate Concierge. I do hold out hope that someday we will be able to travel again. I’d love to go to Rwanda to see the Silverback Gorillas. What a treat that would be!
Where would you travel to right now if you could? Please share with me!
Now, on to my Weekend Musings…
Shaolin Qigong | 15 Minute Daily Routine
Yesterday on the blog, we discussed exercises and practices for mind and body health after 50. It got me thinking about all of the exercises and meditations we can do (at any age) to help with our mental and physical health. As I looked around, I came across Qigong. In some ways it is similar to Tai chi, however as this article describes:
“Qigong can be thought of as a movement you do for a certain situation, as opposed to Tai chi form, which is a series of movements that work on the entire body in a flowing sequence.”
Whether you choose to practice Qigong or Tai chi, both are great for mind and body health. Have you practiced one or the other? Or have you tried both?

Legend of Atlantis | National Geographic
Are you a history and science buff like me? I just love learning about legends and also the history of the world. There is something about watching an educational program that just makes me so happy. National Geographic is such a wonderful channel, so I just hand to share the program about the Legend of Atlantis. I’m sure you’ve heard of Atlantis, but if you haven’t, this program is for you! Here is what the episode entails:
“Exciting evidence emerges of civilizations lost for centuries under the waves, from mysterious underwater pyramids off the coast of Japan to the fabled city of Atlantis itself. Using cutting-edge graphics to reveal what’s actually lying on the seafloor, and insight from the world’s top marine archaeologists, Drain the Oceans finds the answers.”
