When it comes to Valentine’s Day, gift-giving from the heart is the only way to go. Careful thought should be put into each gift you choose, big or small. Expense does not a thoughtful gift make. Trust me on this. The recipient of your gift should know in their bones that the gift was chosen especially for them.

I would have enjoyed being a personal shopper because I love helping others find ‘their land of me.’ I love analyzing the mind of the person receiving my help and I find this far more rewarding than buying for myself. 

So it is not surprising that one of my favorite pastimes is shopping for others. To me it is a big deal, I kid you not!

Purchasing gifts for others is so worth your while because you are doting on others with your personal thoughtfulness. You are caring. This gives you pleasure and brings happiness to family members, friends and acquaintances.  I suggest you instill the important value of ‘giving’ to your grands. 

A gift does not have to be expensive. It has to come from your heart and you must use your head. 

I think purchasing a gift is a skill. It is playing detective; getting into the minds of those you love as well as your casual acquaintances. Please take note: your enclosure card is as important as the gift, possibly more so.[/vc_column_text]

GIFT GIVING FROM THE HEART FOR MY VALENTINE

Since Valentine’s Day is approaching I decided to share a few of the gifts I gave to my ultimate concierge. Each has a personal touch, making it a gift to remember.  

• A credit card case: I made a simple credit card case ( he needed one) as a gift from my heart by placing a folded $2.00 bill inside. On the bill, I wrote in red ink. Happy Valentine’s Day. Your good luck bill will guard and protect you and bring you well-deserved luck.
• A Tie: I bought him a tie with Lions in a jungle setting. My card read:  Happy Valentine’s Day. You will always be the King of my Jungle.
• A paperweight for his desk: I found this Baccarat one that I loved with his zodiac sign, Gemini. My card read: Happy Valentine’s Day. I am so blessed you were born. 
• A Globe of the World: Mova.com. This gift is out of this world! It sits in our den on a coffee table, constantly rotating because of sunlight or a lamp’s light. My Valentine’s card read: Happy Valentine’s Day. We will always, together, see the world with ‘rose-colored glasses.’ Here’s one I found by the same brand.
