Boot season is upon us, darlings and I am smiling! I want to talk about the best boots for fall and winter. I just adore boots. There are so many ways to dress them up and dress them down. They can make a statement or they can be the backdrop for another piece of clothing or accessory to pop. I have my favorites of course. I have a platform pair of Miu Miu boots that I wore out and actually bought again( Buy them here: $890, Saks). I simply ADORE them. They are short black boots that come up just past my ankle.
I also have a smokey gray pair of boots of a similar height to the Miu Miu booties. They are the Chanel boots pictured above and honestly in an outfit they are the star, dear readers.
This fall statement boots seem to be the trend. There are bedazzled boots and patterned boots and boots that will add texture to a look. The boot options are endless, but of course we can’t forget the classics like riding boots and booties which have made a splash in the last few seasons. There are many boots to go through so without further ado here are some beautiful boots if you are in the market for a new pair and some ideas for how to style boots for fall and winter.
Booties
Booties are still in, darlings. There are a lot of suede booties being shown and as long as you take care of them properly( that is if you live in a climate where the weather can get wet) I think suede might be the way to go. That is not to discount some really beautiful leather booties that are also on the market. Styling them with denim for a more casual look is the way I would do it, but you can dress them up with slacks for a night out.

Glitter
You read that right. Make your shoes the star, because literally these boots will shine like stars. This is one trend that I am predicting is going to be a “flavor of the week,” but what a fun fun flavor! It might be worth diving in on this most likely short-lived trend to liven up your wardrobe. This is the type of boot that you can dress up or dress down. Just think of it as another accessory.

Riding Boots
If you live in a colder climate, where ice can accumulate, for safety reasons you may want a flat boot. You are in luck because riding boots are very chic. You can pair it with shorter or longer skirts and layer with tights or even thicker hosiery to keep warm.

Platform boots
This is a style that I love! I love platforms for women over 50 because it gives you the height of a heel with a little more stability than a stilleto and there are plenty of beautiful platform boots to choose from. As I mentioned mine are Miu Miu and are a little shorter, but you can get pairs that go to the knee as well.

Patterned boots
This trend will probably live a little longer than the glitter, but I would caution moderation because you might only get a couple seasons out of this look before it could get dated.

Love Love LOVE to wear boots!! I have quite an assortment, and I like all your examples, with one exception– I cannot see myself in glitter boots!
I’ll have to look into getting my wife some of these for Christmas as she is always saying that she needs new boots. Of the ones you have listed here, I’ll probably go with the booties as I don’t think she has any of those. I will also have to go through a couple of options for them since I know that they can come in a wide variety of colors and features.
