AN EXCITING NEW ENDEAVOR

Honey Good Post

I had a sixth sense that you, my sweet reader, would enjoy reading a weekly newspaper on HoneyGood.com. With the help of my team, we came up with the name Honey Good Post, otherwise known as HGP. The Post’s content will be relevant, up-to-date news on what is essential in the life of a woman 50+. Topics will be a range of important women’s issues — from serious, to educational and fun.

The Post will bring you news every Sunday on a variety of exciting topics. The list of topics will include beauty, style, wellness, travel, shopping the newest products, home decor, and more. The first edition will be Sunday, February 6, 2022.

I would love for you to let me know in the comments what you would enjoy reading in the Post.

WHY THE POST IS IMPORTANT TO ME

Like all ideas, it started with a dream. This dream started to percolate over a year ago. As a woman 50+, I wanted to have a go-to place to read articles about informational news pertaining to a woman’s passage in life. Not daily news that changes day-to-day, but news a woman can implement into her lifestyle. This is why the HGP is so important to me. I want to share the news with you.

How many of us have dreams that never become our reality? All of us. Fortunately, I listened to my heart and pushed myself to make this dream come true. The Honey Good Post will finally go live on HoneyGood.com. I am so excited! And, if you’re a subscriber, it will come straight to your inbox.

I should mention to my long-time readers that you will not miss out on my Sunday Stories. They will be the premier feature of HGP.

My hope is to share all possibilities to make our lives more interesting. And that brings me to the now…

DON’T LIVE IN THE PAST

I don’t believe in living in the past. Start today to get your life where you want it. Your heart has a valid agenda of its own and you should be mindful to listen to it. Always. I listened and my newest baby, Honey Good Post will be born into the world next week.

I live an exuberant life because I am curious and live life outside the box. Are you providing yourself with ample challenges as you bloom past the age of 50+? Are you looking for new opportunities now that you are an empty nester or retired?

Look into your heart and see if you are providing yourself with sufficient challenges to push your boundaries. Even just a little, like I did. But granted, it is not easy.

For example, you can start small by inviting into your life stimulating events and new people. Oh my, how your life will expand with these two simple accomplishments.

ADD NEWNESS TO YOUR LIFE

Honey Good Post, Honey Good Quotes

As Helen Keller said, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.” Each of you knows your limits because you have your heart as your guide.

I know living today in Elsewhere is difficult and personally, I loathe everything about this place. I hardly bear it. How do I do it? My heart tells me I have to learn to live in peace (my word for the year 2022) with the unresolved. And, so must you use your ability to coexist with this situation because you cannot resolve it. But you can add newness to your life. This rests with you.

I asked myself a thousand times how to push back against the time I spend loathing Elsewhere. How can I fight against that negativity? My answer came by listening to my heart. It sent a message that I had to involve myself in a new challenge that would keep me on a pleasurable high. Something that would give me satisfaction and grant me peace. Honey Good Post has been my salvation.

YOUR THOUGHT CAN BECOME A REALITY

Ask for what you want. Be brave enough to trust your instincts. We all have gut instincts. I did with the Post. My instincts told me if I wanted to read ‘the news’ pertaining to a woman 50+ my readers would too.

Our instincts are not strange. Have you thought about the effect your mind has over your body? How do you physically feel when you are excited about something? Wonderful!

When I thought about the Post I felt my body move into a positive mode. I was happy. I was excited. The best part? I would be giving back. I would be learning. No matter what, I knew I wanted to go for it. Even though it would take time, effort, and energy.

I think it is time to invite a new adventure into your life. We have all been dormant far too long. My new adventure is Honey Good Post. Whatever adventure you want can be yours when you reach for it. Don’t get stuck in an adventuresome deficit. Reach for your star!

What new thing have you wanted to try? I would love for you to share in the comments.

Warmly, Honey

Hi! I have made a commitment this year, 2022 to become a more spiritual person. One that doesn’t find comfort in speaking ill of others – a healthy mind doesn’t speak ill of others. A spiritual person minds their own business and focus on their own path and accept others as they are. This person does not pass judgment or criticize other people. When spiritual people don’t have anything positive to say about someone, they simply don’t say anything. You are loving and kind and believe that the soul is eternal. I want to meditate more in 2022. Happy New Year!

    Honey,
This is fabulous news!! I can’t wait to read your first edition. Your positivity has helped me through some tough times living in Elsewhere. I have so many notes of ideas that have popped into my head over the years. I am pulling them all out and am finally going to do something with them!!! Thank you for the motivation and support along the way.
    Kind regards.

    • Honey Good says:

Thank you for your kind words. Tell me about your notes!! What are you going to do with them? I am going to hold you to the promise you made yourself. I am smiling!!! The paper will get better and better!!! Any suggestions for articles? Warmly, Honey

I enjoy many of your posts, however, your lifestyle is very privileged. Your target audience may be people like yourself
that have enough assets and are able to exist in our current situation quite nicely.

May I suggest you think about many women that are not in your situation and publish something that is relatable for them. Perhaps that group of women do not read your blog, if that is the case, you may add a new group of women to your blog.

Hi Janet, My emotional lifestyle is just like yours. I cry. I hurt. I get scared. I get angry. I make mistakes. I dream if only… My social lifestyle is different because of my material possessions but that is not the core of who I am or how I feel. My friends are women of all walks of life and my best friends are chosen because they are grounded in values, like yours. May I ask you to send me a message and suggest to me some options, some topics. I would be grateful. I consider you a friend. I could care less what you have. I care who you are. Warmly, Honey

  5. Kim Carmichael says:

Wonderful! Looking forward to the first issue!
I would love to see some articles on post menopause and how to learn about the new me. Thinks are definitely different and not always easy.
Learning to grow into this time lovingly with my husband is also something I want to learn more about.
We know we are both changing and want to still be loving and intimate as we learn to grow older together.
    Thanks Honey!

    • Honey Good says:

Thank you for sharing. I will definitely write about change after post menopause and find noteworthy articles. Maybe in the HGP next Sunday.Warmly, Honey

  6. Diane says:

I am excited to read Honey Good Post. All of the topics that you mentioned interest me. I love fashion, shopping, home decor & health topics. Not sure if this could be the place to include an article on osteoporosis but I haven’t seen it talked about and I think many women over 50 are struggling with decisions on whether to take bone meds or not and getting enough calcium. My rheumatologist has recommended Reclast infusions yearly & it can come with side effects. Lots of decisions to make as we get older. I have enjoyed honey good.com for quite awhile now. Keep up the “good” work.

    • Honey Good says:

I will write about osteoporosis sometime in the near future! I agree with you. Thank you for sharing. Warmly, Honey
