THIS IS THE TIME OF YEAR…
This is the time of year when family and friends spend a memorable time together.
This is the time of year for burning fireplaces and dinner tables aglow with candles.
This is the time of year when family and friends gather in the kitchen to prepare the turkey, gravy, roasted potatoes, cranberry sauce, Brussel sprouts, apple pie, and ice cream. Or, perhaps, roast beef and ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and pecan pie! The meal itself matters not; the most important ingredient is ‘togetherness.’
This is the time of the year when mailboxes, inboxes, and UPS trucks are filled with cards, emails and presents going to friends and loved ones.
This is the time of year when families and friends who cannot get together make use of iPhones, Skype and video to stay connected.
This is the time of the year when airports and highways are jammed with families traveling a long distance to be with those they love.
This is the time of year to express your love, your thanks, and your appreciation.
This is the time of year to forgive.
And above else, this is the time of year to count your blessings and be grateful.
This is the time of year I want to personally wish you and your family a joyful and cheerful holiday and a happy New Year. May your minds be filled with stirring inspirations that will become your reality in 2019.
This is the time of year I have a profound desire to express my sincerest feelings to you, darlings.
Thank you for being my favorite holiday gift.
You have no idea how you illuminate my life
Your cheering and encouraging support, your genuine heartfelt happiness for me on my travels and everything else in between, your touching words of concern for me when I lost Orchid, and least I not forget… I am more visible and relevant than ever because, darlings, you inspire me to ‘stretch my mind.’ Thank you! Thank you!
I believe the holiday season is about reminding ourselves of our connections to each other. Whether we are Christians, Jews, Hindu, Buddhist, Islamic or atheist we all breathe the same air. I view the holiday season as most encompassing and very relevant.
Darlings, may your holiday season be filled with blessings and good health for you and your loved ones.
Please open up your heart to your foes, help those in need, be curious of the world around you, and stay connected with loved ones, friends, and new people who enter your life in 2019.
