Week in review: Travel on my mind

It was a whirlwind week here at HoneyGood.com, mostly because for half the week I was in New York. I love travel, but it can sometimes be a hassle and this week we talked about a few things on the site to make it just a bit easier.

First thing is first… I never stop working on HoneyGood.com even when I’m traveling! I shared with all of you last Sunday my writing process and it includes planes, trains and automobiles. And why is it I do this? As I said in the piece “If I waited to find ideal conditions, I would miss putting as many words as I do down on paper.” You can read the whole thing by clicking here if you missed it.

On Monday I re-introduced you to a product that I think marries style and function–my belt bag! I know it may seem like an old fashioned fanny pack, but they make them much sleeker now. I love being “hands free” when I travel and my belt bag is a pretty good way to do that. If you don’t have one I think you should consider adding one to your wardrobe.

Something really funny happened on the Honey Good Facebook this week. When I shared my belt bag story people thought I cut my hair. I had just used an old picture on the story, but everyone loved my “new” ‘do. I explained to all you darlings that it was an old photo but that got me thinking about hair. I’ve written about it in the past, but I think it bears repeating… if you are thinking about a new look just GO FOR IT! It’s so much fun to take the plunge. You’ll be glad you did, but if you need a little more convincing read my story here.

And maybe the most obvious connection to my trip to New York is none other than the dreaded packing! I’ve gotten pretty good if I do say so myself, darlings. Everyone has their own system, but mine includes hangers and plastic bags and it makes unpacking really simple! I decided to share my tips and tricks with you here.

And with all the stress of travel I thought about how need we take care of ourselves, dear readers. We need to make it a priority, “Self-care” is just so important! I rounded up some ideas here for how you can slow down and do something GOOD for yourself.

And finally there is still time for you to add your book submissions for our first Honey Good Reading List! Here’s my post on the project and I hope you will join me and add your book to our list!

On the Facebook people really seemed to love this message and I do too dear readers. The women who lift us up are so important. Do something good today and thank a friend who makes you better!

I hope you are ready for the week ahead. I know I am. I am smiling.

Some woman believe in themselves so much that it Is all that they can talk about are themselves. Sorry, but this happens so much.

People who talk about themselves usually do not believe in themselves. Think about that. You are heads above. When I am with others, my rule of thumb is to talk about ‘them. You, too. Warmly, Honey

What are you using with your IPad on the Park bench?
Thanks and keep up the great work Honey!

    • Susan "Honey" Good says:

Just my iPad. I bought the one with an attached keyboard so I can write. Thank you for your kind words. Have a nice week. Warmly, Honey
