My tips to be more visible after 50

STAY VISIBLE, HONEY GOOD

Have you considered what it is to be visible after 50? I have.

Fall will soon be here. With the end of August fast approaching, I get an emotional adrenaline rush. I feel a resolve to be a little more than the woman I am. But, I don’t want to reset my life; I want to continue embracing who I am, which means moving the needle.

What I want is to continue to lead an exuberant life through continuous self-discovery. I will stay a visible woman after 50.

MY RESOLVE TO BE VISIBLE AFTER 50

At the end of every August, I gear up for ‘newness by pushing myself into unknown waters.

I ask myself what new action will bring me further joy.

My thoughts are ingrained in the following words: self-growth, empowerment, visibility, enlightenment, and celebrating life. These words put me on a high. You could say I’m obsessed with being visible after 50. With celebrating life.

If you fall into the doldrums, please add these words to your vocabulary.

I know it is hard to change. Habits, but with resolve, you will be more than the woman you are. You will feel your visibility from within.

HOW DO YOU TAKE THAT IMPORTANT STEP?

First, give yourself credit for the woman you are.

Decide on a meaningful project that inspires you to aspire.

Add my positive words. Self-growth, empowerment, visibility, enlightenment, and celebrating life.

Be true to yourself.

Have resolve.

RESOLVE

Resolve is taking the bull by the horn – not letting anyone or anything stop you from being a little more than you were yesterday.

MY PERSONAL RESOLVE

I resolve to continue aging exquisitely with visibility after 50 to be more than the woman I am.

How do I accomplish this?

I don’t think about what I ‘want’ to do. But instead, take action on what I will do, no matter how hard, because my goal is to enlarge my world, which will ultimately enlarge my tomorrow.

You can achieve this by choosing to do something you have dreamed of pursuing. Add determination, perseverance, and my positive words to be visible after 50. While embracing your discomforts as you tackle your new project with resolve.

The emotional pleasure you will receive from accomplishments will erase the stress it took to get there.

FOLLOW YOUR PATH TO BE VISIBLE AFTER 50

I am a bit of a daredevil. Somehow, I never seem to go with the flow. I never fear the unknown. I feel things in my tummy, push my fears aside, dive in with full force, and worry later.

Admittedly, tackling new things is tiring, especially when you have to master new skills. It takes a lot of resolve to be more visible than the woman you are now. Because it is much easier ‘to just be,’ but it is not very exciting or interesting. Being visible after 50 is a choice and you must take action.

If I weighed every minute detail of a new project, I would not be a writer or the CEO of an online company. I would not be the author of Stories for my Grandchild. Nor would I lead groups for women after 50, move to Honolulu with my young family, travel to Syria and Iran, etc.

WHAT TO DO WHEN NORMALCY DISAPPEARS

During ‘the lockdown’ and isolation and mask mandates (don’t get me started!), life in Elsewhere had me down. Suddenly, I was filled with new emotions, all negative – fear, negativity, anger, lethargy, sadness. I nearly lost my resolve to stay on course. To grow.

Resolve, and determination won over lethargy. No longer able to move around as I wished, I worked on projects in our condo-in-the-sky and on my computer. Also, I designed 3 closets and a storage room. All while rebranding a new website.

I resolved to stay true to myself and persevere. Essentially, I resolved to stay visible after 50.

MOST WOMEN ARE NOT RISK TAKERS

You probably are not a risk taker. Your philosophy is to tread slowly. As long as you don’t allow yourself to get stuck and lose your resolve, your way may be better than mine.

WHAT STOPS WOMEN FROM VISIBILITY AFTER 50?

I think most women get stuck after 50 because of fear, feeling invisible, loneliness and lethargy. Using your resolve enables you to tackle your problems and begin a joyous journey that will tap into your unknown potential.

I have noticed many women are fearful. Darling, fear is like a death notice! You become paralyzed. You are stuck. You do have the powers within to lessen your concerns. Think: I want to replace the negative feelings of fear with positive emotions of resolve. I will embark on a project I love.

HOW TO PUT FEARS ASIDE

See all your fears in the color grey. This is a life-changing exercise because many women over 50 overreact to their worries. They see their fears in the color black.

Replace the word fear with the word dream. Dreams are uplifting and will help you pivot away from your fear.

DAYDREAMS

Daydreams are short stories.
They are a gift.
They bring out your spirit.
Daydreams create positive illusions.
They express your desires.
They create imagination
Daydreams help you discern how to become more visible than you are.
Daydreams do come true. I know.

Set out on your path, darlings, and put your fears aside. Choose visibility after 50. I believe in you. I am smiling.

Do you have resolve when it comes to what you want? What has it done for you after 50?
