Get my look: All about the accessories

I love beautiful clothes, but sometimes the accessories do the talking in an outfit. For a recent photo shoot I highlighted some of my favorite accessories specifically, this red cape, pearl earrings, and my choker. I’ve done some sleuthing and found how you can recreate my look with these amazing accessories.

Capes

My cape is Hermes with a large color blocked pattern of red and rust tones. Capes are practical, but unexpected. They do the same job as a sweater, but have a more interesting silhouette. My Hermes cape is gorgeous, but there are many capes on the market with a similar look, but a more reasonable price tag.

Left: Cejon Fringe Cape – Buy it here: $47.60 at Macy’s
Center: Sioni Plaid Poncho – Buy it here:  $64.80 at Bloomingdale’s
Right: Allison Daley Colorblock Open Front Poncho – Buy it here: $58 at Dillard’s

Pearl Earrings

These drop pearl earrings can be dressed up or dressed down. Pearls are classic and elegant and the dangle earring is a fun way to wear them.

Left:  Kenneth Jay Lane Chain with Imitation Pearl Drop Earrings – Buy it here: $20 at Shopbop.com
Center:  Lele Sadoughi Pendulum Stick Drop Earrings – Buy it here: $135 at Neiman Marcus
Right: Rebecca Minkoff – Sphere Front Back Earrings Earring- Buy it here: $45.99 at Zappos

Choker necklace

My choker is by Marni. It is like a piece of art, darlings. Chokers are very in style and I recently wrote about  two chokers that I wear all the time (read the story here) but I like to take this one out and enjoy it as well. My suggestions below are not as large as my Marni piece, but have a similar look with more of a chord look as opposed to chain.

Left: Kendra Scott Pierce Choker Necklace in Hematite – Buy it here: $44.97 at Kendra Scott
Top Center: World Market Gold and Black Suede Choker – Buy it here:  $16.99 at Cost Plus World Market
Bottom Center: Elizabeth and James – Dotti Leather And Gold-plated Choker – Black – Buy it here: $33 at Net-A-Porter
Top Right: Banana Republic Edgy Floral Choker – Buy it here: $35.99 at Banana Republic
Bottom Right: Henri Bendel Luxe Claremont Wrap Choker – Buy it here: $49 at Henri Bendel

If this look wasn’t for you I have also put together suggestions for how to get my winter white look. Click here for that story and happy shopping darlings!
