Just because you're over 50, doesn't mean your time for learning and growing is over! Look at me, I started a blog on the internet in my later years! The sky is truly the limit! I know that surrounding yourself with supportive, accomplished women can help you to set and achieve your own goals, and to feel more confident and empowered in your own life.
but we also need an outlet where we can learn and grow and others believe in us!
After 10 years as a blogger for women over 50, if I've learned anything it is that women need women! Women need women to share their experiences, offer advice and guidance, and provide a listening ear - especially through the major life transitions and personal struggles that happen after turning 50.

what is an 'enlightenment salon'?
In the 18th and 19th centuries, Paris was home to a thriving culture of intellectual salons, where writers, artists, and philosophers would gather to discuss ideas and share their knowledge. These salons were known as "enlightenment salons," as they were a place for people to learn and grow in their understanding of the world.
The Enlightenment Salon brings this tradition into the modern age, providing a space for women over 50 to connect, learn, and be inspired. We believe that learning and personal growth are lifelong pursuits, and we are committed to providing a supportive community for women to come together and thrive.

After 10 years of blogging, countless awards, and thousands of women over 50 in my community 'Celebrate Life' - I knew The Enlightenment Salon was my next step for bringing women together.
While I’ve endured financial hardships, the heartbreak of widowhood, the horror of a suicide in the family, the unknowns of cancer, the challenges of building a blended family… and more, I have learned that disruptions create resilience and empowerment. Having enlightened, positive women by my side have always made the difference, especially in times of loneliness or feeling invisible.
Darlings, I'm tired of people shutting us out after 50! I'm exhausted over society telling us we no longer matter or our growth has stifled. It is simply not true. You can grow, become anyone, do anything - even moreso with the lessons you've learned after turning 50.
The Enlightenment Salon is a members-only, safe space, for women all over the world to find community and learn from one another. Our lives are just beginning!
